Most reports can also be run for specific time periods, which can be helpful for generating statistics.
Reports where a time frame can be chosen:
- All Procedures Due, Sorted By Animal
- All Procedures Due, Sorted By Procedure
- Monthly Status Report

- Rabies Tag, by Tag Number
- Rabies Tag, by Animal ID
Reports that do not have a time frame:
- Person Affiliation Records
- Resident and Foster Animals
- Animals Needing Neutering
- Microchip by Chip Number
- Microchip by Animal ID
There is also a report that is run when an animal is adopted that gives the new owner information about the animal, as well as a schedule of future vaccinations and procedures that will be due. Other reports will be added in the future. Also, users who are familiar with writing custom reports in Microsoft Access 97 or later, and who have Microsoft Access 97 or later installed can create their own reports from the database.
Person Information No animal shelter can operate without people, and AnimalTrack has an area just for entering information about people. AnimalTrack looks at people as filling one or more roles at the shelter. These are the roles:
Surrenderer - someone who gives an animal up for adoption, or turns in a found or abandoned animal Adopter, Shelter Worker, Volunteer, Veterinarian, Foster Parent. Once information about a person is entered, and their roles are chosen, AnimalTrack uses that information in the program. For example, if a person or clinic has the role of Veterinarian, that person can be chosen from a list of veterinarians when a Veterinarian Log entry is made in Animal Health.
Procedures Every animal requires some health procedures to be performed. They include vaccinations, neutering and tests. With AnimalTrack, those procedures can be set up according to shelter policy and/or local regulations. Once these procedures are set up, reports can be run that will allow shelter workers to see what procedures are due for one or more animals. The reports can be sorted by procedure, or by animal. Here is a list of the information used to set up a procedure:
- Procedure Name
- Procedure Type ( Deworming, Rabies, Test, Vaccination, Neutering)
- Whether or not the procedure is one time only (like neutering)
- Product used in the procedure Dosage
- Procedure Overrides ( Do not perform Procedure A if Procedure B is due)
- Applies To (Dogs, Cats, Other, Multiple)
- Time Frame (Minimum Animal Age, Maximum Animal Age, Number of times to perform the procedure, Interval between procedures)
On-Line Help AnimalTrack has a complete context-sensitive on-line HTML help system that is available at any time by pressing the F1 key.
